Chelation and the Klenner Protocol

The truth is that it has not been precisely justified how the combination of the constituents of the protocol works for MS. Scientific research, profit-oriented, CRAB – centered and guided, is not able and above all it doesn’t aim at providing reasonable responses. Nevertheless, one can make several hypotheses about each suggested constituent by analyzing its properties and draw secure conclusions based on scientific research.

Fish Oil has known anti inflammation effects in blood and tissues. Also the lack of Vitamin D , as it becomes obvious through a series of studies, plays a more and more important role to the incidence of MS due to the role it plays in the development of the person from very young ages. Vitamins C, Eplay a very important role against the generation of free radicals. Oxidation always affects MS’ers much more than healthier people. Relevant examples, positive for human health, are found for every constituent of the protocol and especially for the Central Nervous or the myoskeletal System which are crucial for neurological disorders or the myoskeletal (see B 100 Tablet, B12 – methylcobalamine, Calcium – Magnesium on the page “Begin Klenner’s Protocol”).
Additionally to the above, there is a very important field the protocol contributes to, being decisive for MS patients due to their vulnerability in the Central Nervous System: heavy metals excretion. MS patients have a sensitive CNS with all its consequences. The progress of the disease usually causes problems in bowel function (constipation, diarrhea) that is a main detoxification means. This flaw makes them more vulnerable to a series of dangers in comparison to healthier people, such as heavy metals, a subject under discussion in this article.
DANGERS IN THE MARKET
The procedure of heavy metals excretion is generally called chelation.
There is a variety of products or kits in the market and several suggestions on this procedure but we‘ve better not to trust them if we are not perfectly sure. It is suggested that in any case you should consult a knowledgeable physician about this subject; this is why we will not try to describe or suggest such products. The reason for our being so cautious is that this procedure may become dangerous, especially to constipated patients.
In order for the heavy metals to leave the body they first have to detach from the healthy tissues and organs they are stuck on, followingly they bind with substances helping their passing to the intestine and finally they are expelled. The excretion of heavy metals through the intestine is the main kind of detoxification from heavy metals. An important organ of detoxification is the skin through sweating. It becomes obvious that accumulation of toxins in the intestine after a successful chelation may cause more serious problems in case they are not fully excreted from the body.
Another reason is that the methods are numerous and there is not one single way for all patients. Many strong substances are used for this purpose and it is only under the supervision of a specialist that one should use them and NEVER TRY IT ALONE.
Finally, there is always the danger to overload the body if many different substances are taken besides the protocol without medical suggestion and supervision.
For the above cited reasons we will discuss only the substances suggested in the protocol and some other natural – vegetable very mild choices one can incorporate in everyday life and have very good results without danger.
FREE RADICALS AND HEAVY METALS
When free radicals come in touch with one of these tinny pieces of toxic metals, not only one new free radical is generated but a chain of millions of free radicals.
Free radicals exist in all persons, heavy metals as well. They move around several points and organs and somewhere on their way they meet again a new tinny piece of toxic metal generating new free radicals in a minute and so on.
Thus we should try to:

1. Find ways to reduce as much as possible the generation of new millions of free radicals generated in our body by the binding of metals and free radicals through chain reactions (Vitamin C, E and other antioxidants mentioned below help to that)

2. Prevent these free radicals from coming in touch with the heavy metals in our bodies in the first place.
CHELATION THROUGH THE PROTOCOL
One important contribution of the protocol is that it helps fight heavy metals, whose toxicity alone is known that it can cause symptoms similar to the ones of MS. On the other hand you know from this site that heavy metals is one of the main factors of MS.
Tips that help:
  • Try to consume proteins all the time, mainly animal (except pork which is very fatty) but vegetarian as well (eg sea algae) according to the protocol. Protein amino-acids contain sulfur that highly facilitates the detoxification procedure. Avoid any proteinic supplement of unreliable origin.
  • Try to maintain 2 to 3 bowel movements per day. If there is a constipation problem read here. Remember that 90% of the mercury (a heavy metal known to be one of the most toxic ones) is expelled in our stools.
  • Don’t miss your daily injection of Thiamine (Β1)(1): Thiamine, being a main injectable vitamin in the protocol, has been found to play an important role in the confrontation of heavy metals (arsenic, lead, mercury etc). Especially mercury and lead compete with Thiamine absorbing the Sulfur contained in it. Sulfur is known to act as a magnet for heavy metals.
  • Biotin (vitamin Β7 contained in Β100): The second vitamin which contains sulfur.
  • Vitamin Β6 (Pyridoxine – contained in Β100): Necessary to the metabolic procedure that transforms methionine into cysteine and followingly to glutathione (amino-acid transformed into strong antioxidative means).
  • Magnesium: Metals such as Magnesium are necessary to the optimal functioning of our immune system, as much as to hundreds of enzymatic systems of prime importance for human health. In this way foods are more easily absorbed without irritating the digestive track that plays a crucial role to heavy metals excretion.
  • Take your antioxidants every day: All antioxidants in the protocol (Vitamin C(2), E, Beta Carotene-Vitamin Α, Selenium(3)) including Thiamine, play an irreplaceable role to the fight against new free radicals being multiplied in the presence of heavy metals.
  • Exercise according to your condition, but do it systematically and under supervision. Sweating is a good way to excrete toxins and the skin is one of the main detoxification organs.
For additional help you should know that:
There are lots of other substances and ways to fight heavy metal accumulation or at least they claim to do so. As cited above, the protocol itself caters for that purpose. Nevertheless, if you think that you need more help, here are some more very mild ways:
  • You can take Chlorella. Chlorella is a species of algae that helps remove toxic metals from the connective tissue of our body. It contains high levels of chlorophyll which is one of the most pure and strong foods on earth. One cannot take excessive amount of Chlorella. Check your dose by trials, starting from a low dose and increasing gradually every 2-3 days.
  • Include garlic in your regiment if you are not allergic or intolerant to it, not in supplement form but in fresh natural form. In this way you enhance the Sulfur reserves of your body. 2-3 cloves per day for as long as your program lasts sound like a good idea. Crush the cloves so as to set their active ingredients free.
  • Start taking MSM (4). MSM is a kind of Sulfur acting on the membranes of the cells and thus helping your body to get rid of mercury.
  • Start using coriander (5). Coriander will contribute to the movement of mercury from the tissues, so as Chlorella will be able to bind with it and guide it out of the body through bowel movements. Coriander is found in most health food stores, super markets or shops selling spices. You can also add it to vegetable juices (being an excellent source of metals such as Calcium and Magnesium). Coriander alone is not enough to totally remove heavy metals from the body.
During your heavy metal detoxification, make sure that you take your daily vitamins and basic metals such as Calcium and Magnesium.

The Importance of Bowel Function

The intestine is divided into two major sections: small intestine and large intestine. The small intestine is about 6 meters (20 feet) long and the large intestine has a larger width but is only 1.5 meters (5 feet) long. The small and large intestines perform different functions. The small intestine is where the most extensive part of digestion occurs. Most food products are absorbed in the small intestine. The large intestine is responsible for absorption of water and excretion of solid waste material. Food and waste material are moved along the length of the intestine by rhythmic contractions of intestinal muscles. Having regular bowel cleanses in MS is crucial because among other things your intestine is one of the most important detoxifying organs. If you want your body to deal with your disease instead of loading it with extra very dangerous toxins make sure you have a good daily bowel movement in order to:

  • Clean, revitalize and detoxify your body.
  • Lower toxins in your body, which will help increase your physical health and energy levels.
  • Have a healthier immune system, which means you will get sick less often.

The various health problems that occur in the human colon take place when impacted fecal matter and toxins are allowed to remain in the intestines for a long period of time when they’re not being eliminated properly. The longer this waste material sits in your colon, the more likely it is that these toxins will be absorbed into your blood stream.

As these toxins remain in your body, you become more susceptible to health problems like irritable bowel syndrome, colitis, diarrhea, weight problems, haemorrhoids, joint pains, vision problems, loss of memory – to name a few and of course feeling your MS symptoms more intensely.
The colon absorbs vitamins, salts, nutrients, and water. When these essential, life-giving ingredients are being properly absorbed, we feel good. But when the colon is not working well it begins to absorb toxins into the blood stream rather than expelling them. The result is a myriad of problems ranging from constipation and gas, to candida (Candidiasis), diverticulitis, and various other chronic health issues. The colon plays host to a zoo of bacteria: over one hundred trillion microorganisms (fungus, parasites, worms etc) call the colon home. There are more microorganisms in the colon than are contained within the skin, heart, bone, brain, and the rest of the body’s cells combined. A proper balance of healthy bacteria must be maintained inside the colon to avoid being constantly plagued with digestive ailments.

My doctor says that the most severe diseases come from the colon. Some toxins found in the intestines are used to cause cancer to mice within weeks for special experiments!!! A day of a bad bowel cleanse can be generally a bad day according to experience. Constipation is a chronic common problem to most MS patients and can certainly cause symptoms that have remained calm for some time, suddenly cause a bad day by appearing again, or make symptoms that you may currently have feel much worse. Constipation in MS may have both neurological as well as nutritional base. In most cases  good nutrition combined with the right supplements can be extremely helpful.

  • Nutrition.

Be sure of the kind and amount of water you drink. Make sure it’s clean, fresh and at least 1 lt per day.
Have all of your vitamins in time and make sure you have the correct Calcium/Magnesium analogy. The types we suggest taking is Calcium Carbonate, Citrate (same goes for Magnesium). I take the Citrate for both and works fine. Make sure: a) Calcium should be taken on it’s own, at least 1 hour before a meal, or several hours after. The reason for this is that Calcium is “antagonistic” to Magnesium, plus the fact, that calcium has been proven to “grab” and take with it, micronutrients, vitamins, that are taken with it. b) CALCIUM, which is important, and works in many of the same ways as magnesium, when it comes to relaxing muscles and blood vessels, relieving spasticity, etc., can cause constipation, however, by balancing it with the correct amount of magnesium there will be no problems. c) Raise your magnesium, until you find your own level that brings out soft easy stools, that are passed once, or even twice daily, clearing the colon.

d) Take your Magnesium WITH all of your other vitamins at meals. e) There is something else concerning magnesium which I would suggest as a last option. Use magnesium Oxide type additionally to the Calcium / Magnesium intake. It’s like a mild natural cathartic. Use a small amount because it is strong (70mg at a time). The best way to have ν natural and long term control of your constipation is by applying all of the above and use any type of cathartic as a last option at the same time with the rest of the measures not more than three times weekly.

  • Try to move or exercise as much as your condition allows you. Exercise with the help of a professional will improve your mobility and bowel function.

SPICES and some fruits MAY HELP!

A good nutritional program is a necessity in order to maintain a good bowel health. The protocol stresses on a high protein diet but this is not enough on it’s own. You should combine your protein (fish, meat, sea algae) with “good” carbs  like vegetables (juicing of 2-3 different vegetables is better for absorption – avoid artichoke and aubergine) and fruits (avoid anything that is too sweet, orange and grapes because they are very acidic and have a high glycemic load). Try to create a ratio of 1:3 proteins to good carbs. Try using olive oil on a daily basis. Also it is good to have a food allergy/intolerance test to see what foods you may eat. Definitely quit gluten (bread, spaghetti, wheat, rye, barley), any kind of milk and diary (I think at least a three month quit of all dairy is necessary and then try to eat some goat or sheep yogurt or cheese – NOT DAIRY CATTLE PRODUCTS), sugar, mushrooms. Also quit carbs with a high glycemic load such as rice, corn or starch (eg potatoes). Replace the above with milks from almond, coconut etc from health food stores or with gluten free bread (amaranth, quinoa, millet) but in low quantities. Make sure you eat at specific times every day and generally that everything happens in a systematic way. Don’t eat very late at nights, food shouldn’t be taken later than 2 hours before bedtime,  except a small snack.. Don’t skip meals. Make sure you eat enough food but not excessive portions. Everything about the protocol must be done in a systematic way for best results.
Many spices are used against Candida overgrowth and for their antioxidant, anti fungus properties. Grape fruit is against Candida (not in juice). Also berries are known for their antioxidant effects and effectiveness on the bowel.
Add some Turmeric spice along with your meals. It comes as a powder and it’s extremely antioxidant as well as antifungal spice. You can either cook it but simultaneously make sure you use it raw, just use it like pepper. It comes from the root of the Curcuma long plant and has a tough brown skin and deep orange flesh. It is a powerful medicine that has long been used by the Indian and Chinese systems of medicine as an anti-inflammatory agent to treat a wide variety of conditions. Peppers can be good (black pepper, cayenne pepper, chili pepper) Cinnamon and nutmeg is considered antifungal and said to have antimicrobial properties also. You can use it with most of your fruits. You shouldn’t have an excessive consumption of fruits though.

6. Beverages like unsweetened organic cocoa. Cocoa powder is low in fat and an excellent antioxidant.
7. Chlorella is a magic solution for helping the bowel normal function. Chlorophyll, is found in all green vegetables, especially the green, leafy vegetables. The problem we find here is that food greens contain less than half of one percent chlorophyll. Alfalfa, from which chlorophyll is commercially extracted, has only 8 or 9 pounds per ton, about 0.2% when extracted, and alfalfa is one of the plants highest in chlorophyll. Get Chlorella tablets and use 2-3 grams daily. Increase the dose slowly. Chlorella cannot be toxic because it is basically a food. See more on Chlorella

DEFINITELY QUIT
The most important thing to cut out is sugar.  This includes all cookies, candies and anything else of that nature. Yeast feeds off sugar and the only way to keep it at bay is to starve it.
Vinegar must also be avoided as it is depletes the stomach of acids and can cause inflammation.  The only vinegar that has been known to successfully combat yeast is apple cider vinegar and it can be used as a food or as a wash. It’s a little odd, but it appears to have an alkalizing effect inside the body and out.
Mushrooms must also be avoided for obvious reasons.  They are the most common fungus among us! Some of the above are suggestions, not rules. You should check them on yourself and see how they affect you. Anything you try which makes you feel uncomfortable in any way (like cocoa or cinnamon) you should stop at once. Of course some of them are a must like quitting sugar and vinegar and having a combined healthy nutrition.

Το έντερο διαιρείται σε δυο κύρια τμήματα: το λεπτό έντερο και το παχύ έντερο. Το λεπτό έντερο έχει μήκος περίπου 6 μέτρων και το παχύ έντερο έχει μεγαλύτερη διάμετρο αλλά μόνο 1,5 μέτρα μήκος. Το λεπτό και το παχύ έντερο εκτελούν διαφορετικές λειτουργίες. Στο λεπτό έντερο γίνεται το μεγαλύτερο μέρος της πέψης και απορροφώνται οι περισσότερες τροφές. Το παχύ έντερο είναι υπεύθυνο για την απορρόφηση του νερού και την αποβολή των στερεών άχρηστων υλικών. Τροφές και άχρηστα υλικά κινούνται κατά μήκος του εντέρου με τη βοήθεια των ρυθμικών περισταλτικών κινήσεων των εντερικών μυών.

Η κανονική λειτουργία για τον καθαρισμό του εντέρου έχει μεγάλη σημασία στη ΣΚΠ, επειδή μεταξύ άλλων το έντερο είναι ένα από τα πιο σημαντικά όργανα αποτοξίνωσης. Αν θέλετε το σώμα σας να αντιμετωπίσει την ασθένειά σας αντί να αναγκάζεται να αντιμετωπίσει επικίνδυνες τοξίνες, εξασφαλίστε μια καλή καθημερινή κένωση, έτσι ώστε:

Το σώμα να καθαρίζεται, να αναζωογονείται και να αποτοξινώνεται.

Να μειώνονται οι τοξίνες του σώματος, πράγμα που θα βοηθήσει στη βελτίωση της φυσικής υγείας και του επιπέδου ενέργειάς σας.

Να έχετε ένα πιο υγιές ανοσοποιητικό σύστημα, πράγμα που σημαίνει να αρρωσταίνετε πιο σπάνια.

Όταν συμπιεσμένο άχρηστο υλικό και τοξίνες αφήνονται να παραμείνουν στο έντερο για μεγάλα χρονικά διαστήματα επειδή δεν κενώνονται κατάλληλα, τότε παρουσιάζονται στον οργανισμό διάφορα προβλήματα υγείας. Όσο περισσότερο παραμένουν αυτά τα άχρηστα υλικά στο έντερο, τόσο μεγαλύτερη είναι η πιθανότητα οι τοξίνες αυτές να απορροφηθούν στο αίμα. Όσο οι τοξίνες αυτές παραμένουν στο σώμα, γινόμαστε πιο επιρρεπείς σε προβλήματα υγείας. Μερικά από αυτά είναι το σύνδρομο ευερέθιστου εντέρου, η κολίτιδα, η διάρροια, τα προβλήματα βάρους, οι αιμορροΐδες, οι πόνοι στις αρθρώσεις, τα προβλήματα στην όραση, η απώλεια μνήμης κ.ά. και φυσικά εντείνονται τα συμπτώματα της ΣΚΠ.

Το έντερο απορροφά βιταμίνες, άλατα, θρεπτικές ουσίες και νερό. Όταν αυτά τα βασικά, ζωογόνα συστατικά απορροφώνται κατάλληλα, αισθανόμαστε καλά. Όταν όμως το έντερο δε δουλεύει καλά, αρχίζει να απορροφά τοξίνες στο αίμα και όχι να τις αποβάλλει. Το αποτέλεσμα είναι πλήθος προβλημάτων, που κλιμακώνονται από δυσκοιλιότητα και αέρια ως κάντιντα (Candidiasis), εγκολπώματα και διάφορα άλλα χρόνια προβλήματα υγείας.

Το έντερο φιλοξενεί έναν ολόκληρο «ζωολογικό κήπο» από βακτηρίδια: πάνω από ένα τρισεκατομύριο μικροοργανισμοί (μύκητες, παράσιτα, σκουλίκια κτλ) κατοικούν εκεί. Υπάρχουν περισσότεροι μικροοργανισμοί στο έντερο παρά στο δέρμα, στην καρδιά, στα κόκαλα, στον εγκέφαλο και σε όλα τα άλλα κύτταρα του οργανισμού μαζί. Η διατήρηση της κατάλληλης ισορροπίας υγιών βακτηριδίων μέσα στο έντερο εμποδίζει την εμφάνιση ασθενειών του πεπτικού συστήματος.

Ο γιατρός μου λέει πως οι περισσότερες σοβαρές ασθένειες προέρχονται από το έντερο. Μερικές τοξίνες που βρίσκονται στα έντερα χρησιμοποιούνται για να προκαλέσουν καρκίνο μέσα σε μερικές εβδομάδες όταν χορηγούνται σε ποντίκια για ειδικά πειράματα!!!

Μια μέρα κακού καθαρισμού του εντέρου μπορεί γενικά να είναι μια κακή μέρα, σύμφωνα με την εμπειρία μου. Η δυσκοιλιότητα είναι ένα κοινό χρόνιο πρόβλημα των περισσότερων ασθενών με ΣΚΠ και μπορεί σίγουρα να κάνει συμπτώματα που έχουν μείνει ανενεργά για κάποιο διάστημα να εμφανιστούν και να προκαλέσουν ξαφνικά μια κακή μέρα ή να κάνει τα συμπτώματα που ήδη έχετε να γίνουν πολύ χειρότερα.

Η δυσκοιλιότητα στη ΣΚΠ μπορεί να έχει τόσο νευρολογική όσο και διατροφική βάση. Στις περισσότερες περιπτώσεις η καλή διατροφή σε συνδυασμό με τα σωστά συμπληρώματα μπορεί να βοηθήσει αποτελεσματικά.

ΛΑΒΕΤΕ ΜΕΤΡΑ

1. Διατροφή.

Ένα καλό διατροφικό πρόγραμμα είναι αναγκαίο για τη διατήρηση της καλής λειτουργίας του εντέρου. Το πρωτόκολλο βασίζεται σε μια δίαιτα υψηλών πρωτεϊνών, αλλά αυτό δεν είναι από μόνο του αρκετό. Πρέπει να συνδυάζετε την πρωτεΐνη σας (ψάρι, κρέας, θαλάσσια φύκια) με «καλούς» υδατάνθακες, όπως λαχανικά (οι χυμοί από 2-3 διαφορετικά λαχανικά απορροφώνται καλύτερα – αποφεύγετε την αγκινάρα και τη μελιτζάνα) και φρούτα (αποφεύγετε οτιδήποτε πολύ γλυκό, τα πορτοκάλια και τα σταφύλια γιατί είναι πολύ όξινα και έχουν υψηλό γλυκαιμικό φορτίο). Προσπαθήστε να διατηρήσετε μια αναλογία 1:3 πρωτεϊνών και καλών υδατανθράκων.

Προσπαθήστε να χρησιμοποιείτε ελαιόλαδο σε καθημερινή βάση. Είναι επίσης καλό να κάνετε ένα τεστ τροφικών αλλεργιών/δυσανεξιών για να δείτε ποιες τροφές μπορείτε να τρώτε. Σίγουρα κόψτε τη γλουτένη (ψωμί, μακαρόνια, σιτάρι, σίκαλη, κριθάρι), κάθε είδος γάλακτος και γαλακτοκομικών προϊόντων, τη ζάχαρη, τα μανιτάρια. (Νομίζω πως είναι απαραίτητη μια τρίμηνη αποχή από όλα τα γαλακτοκομικά και μετά να προσπαθήσετε να φάτε λίγο κατσικίσιο ή πρόβειο γιαούρτι – ΟΧΙ ΓΑΛΑΚΤΟΚΟΜΙΚΑ ΠΡΟΪΟΝΤΑ ΑΠΟ ΒΟΟΕΙΔΗ).

Επίσης κόψτε τους υδατάνθρακες με υψηλό γλυκαιμικό φορτίο, όπως ρύζι, καλαμπόκι ή άμυλο (πχ. πατάτες). Αντικαταστήστε τα παραπάνω με γάλατα από αμύγδαλα, καρύδα κτλ. από καταστήματα υγιεινών τροφών ή με ψωμί χωρίς γλουτένη (από αμάρανθο, κινόα, κεχρί), αλλά πάντα σε μικρές ποσότητες. Να τρώτε καθορισμένες ώρες την ημέρα και γενικά όλα να γίνονται με συστηματικό τρόπο. Μην τρώτε πολύ αργά το βράδυ, το δείπνο πρέπει να καταναλώνεται τουλάχιστο δυο ώρες πριν πάτε για ύπνο, οπότε μπορείτε να φάτε ένα μικρό σνακ. Μην παραλείπετε γεύματα. Τρώτε αρκετά αλλά όχι υπερβολικά. Κάθε μέρος του πρωτοκόλλου πρέπει να γίνεται με συστηματικό τρόπο για βέλτιστα αποτελέσματα.

2. Το είδος και η ποσότητα του νερού που πίνετε είναι πολύ σημαντικά. Πρέπει να πίνετε καθαρό, φρέσκο νερό σε ποσότητα τουλάχιστο 1 λίτρου την ημέρα.

3. Να παίρνετε όλες σας τις βιταμίνες στην ώρα τους και να εξασφαλίσετε τη σωστή αναλογία Ασβεστίου/ Μαγνησίου. Οι συνιστώμενοι τύποι είναι Carbonate και Citrate (τόσο για το ασβέστιο όσο και για το μαγνήσιο). Χρησιμοποιώ Citrate και για τα δυο και φέρνουν αποτελέσματα. Εξασφαλίστε ότι:

α) Το ασβέστιο παίρνεται μόνο του, τουλάχιστο 1 ώρα πριν ή αρκετές ώρες μετά το φαγητό. Ο λόγος είναι πως το ασβέστιο δρα ανταγωνιστικά προς το μαγνήσιο και επιπλέον το ασβέστιο έχει αποδειχτεί πως «δεσμεύει» και παρασύρει μαζί του βιταμίνες και ιχνοστοιχεία. Το ασβέστιο, που είναι σημαντικό και δουλεύει με πολλούς τρόπους όπως και το μαγνήσιο όσον αφορά τη χαλάρωση των μυών και των αιμοφόρων αγγείων, ανακουφίζει από τη σπαστικότητα κ.ά., μπορεί να προκαλέσει δυσκοιλιότητα. Εξισορροπώντας το όμως με τη σωστή ποσότητα μαγνησίου δε θα υπάρχουν προβλήματα.

β) Αυξήστε τη δόση του μαγνησίου σας μέχρι να βρείτε την αναλογία που δημιουργεί μαλακές και εύκολες κενώσεις μια ή δυο φορές την ημέρα, καθαρίζοντας το έντερο. Να παίρνετε το μαγνήσιό σας ΜΑΖΙ με όλες τις άλλες βιταμίνες σας με τα γεύματα.

γ) Υπάρχει κάτι άλλο σχετικά με το μαγνήσιο, που θα το συνιστούσα ως τελευταία επιλογή. Πρόσθετα με το ασβέστιο/μαγνήσιο που παίρνετε, μπορείτε να χρησιμοποιήσετε οξείδιο του μαγνησίου. Είναι σαν ένα ήπιο φυσικό καθαρτικό. Χρησιμοποιήστε μια μικρή ποσότητα γιατί είναι δυνατό (70 γρ τη φορά). Ο καλύτερος τρόπος για να έχετε φυσικό και μακροπρόθεσμο έλεγχο της δυσκοιλιότητάς σας είναι να εφαρμόσετε όλα τα παραπάνω και να χρησιμοποιείτε οποιοδήποτε είδος καθαρτικού ως τελευταία επιλογή μαζί με τα υπόλοιπα μέτρα και όχι περισσότερες από τρεις φορές την εβδομάδα.

4. Προσπαθήστε να κινείστε ή να ασκείστε όσο σας επιτρέπει η κατάστασή σας. Ασκηθείτε με τη βοήθεια ενός επαγγελματία κι αυτό θα βελτιώσει την κινητικότητά σας και τη λειτουργία του εντέρου σας.

5. Μερικά ΚΑΡΥΚΕΥΜΑΤΑ και ΦΡΟΥΤΑ μπορούν να βοηθήσουν!

Πολλά καρυκεύματα χρησιμοποιούνται για την καταπολέμηση της κάντιντα και για τις αντιοξειδωτικές, αντιμυκητικές τους ιδιότητες.

Το γκρέιπφρουτ καταπολεμά την κάντιντα (όχι σε χυμό). Επίσης τα μούρα είναι γνωστά για την αντιοξειδωτική τους δράση και την αποτελεσματικότητά τους στην καλή λειτουργία του εντέρου.

Προσθέστε κουρκουμά στα φαγητά σας. Υπάρχει σε μορφή σκόνης και είναι εξαιρετικό αντιοξειδωτικό και αντιμυκητικό. Μπορείτε να το προσθέσετε κατά το μαγείρεμα ή και να το χρησιμοποιήσετε ωμό όπως το πιπέρι. Προέρχεται από τη ρίζα του φυτού curcuma longa και έχει σκληρή καφέ φλούδα και σκούρα πορτοκαλί σάρκα. Έχει από παλιά χρησιμοποιηθεί στην Ινδική και Κινέζικη ιατρική ως φάρμακο για τη θεραπεία μεγάλης ποικιλίας ασθενειών και ως αντι-φλεγμονώδες.
Τα διάφορα πιπέρια μπορεί να κάνουν καλό (μαύρο πιπέρι, πιπέρι καγιέν, πιπέρι τσίλι).
Η κανέλλα και το μοσχοκάρυδο θεωρούνται αντιμυκητικά και λέγεται ότι έχουν επίσης αντιμικροβιακές ιδιότητες. Μπορείτε να τα χρησιμοποιήσετε στα περισσότερα φρούτα σας. Ωστόσο, δεν πρέπει να καταναλώνετε υπερβολικές ποσότητες φρούτων.
Μπορείτε να πίνετε άγλυκο οργανικό κακάο. Η σκόνη κακάο είναι χαμηλή σε λιπαρά και αποτελεί εξαιρετικό αντιοξειδωτικό.

ΣΙΓΟΥΡΑ ΚΟΨΤΕ!

Το πιο σημαντικό πράγμα που πρέπει να κόψετε είναι η ζάχαρη. Περιλαμβάνονται όλα τα μπισκότα, γλυκά και οτιδήποτε παρόμοιο. Η κάντιντα τρέφεται από ζάχαρη και ο μόνος τρόπος να την κρατήσετε υπό έλεγχο είναι να την κάνετε να λιμοκτονήσει.

Το ξύδι πρέπει επίσης να αποφεύγεται γιατί γεμίζει το στομάχι με οξέα και μπορεί να προκαλέσει φλεγμονή. Το μόνο ξύδι που είναι γνωστό πως καταπολεμά την κάντιντα είναι το μηλόξυδο και μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως φαγητό ή ως μέσο έκπλυσης. Είναι λίγο παράξενο, αλλά φαίνεται να προκαλεί αλκαλικό περιβάλλον μέσα και έξω από το σώμα.

Τα μανιτάρια πρέπει επίσης να αποφεύγονται για προφανείς λόγους. Είναι ο πιο συνηθισμένος μύκητας ανάμεσά μας!
Μερικά από τα παραπάνω είναι προτάσεις, όχι κανόνες.

Πρέπει να τα ελέγξετε στον εαυτό σας και να δείτε πώς σας επηρεάζουν. Κάθε τι που δοκιμάζετε και σας κάνει να αισθάνεστε άσχημα με οποιονδήποτε τρόπο (πχ. η κανέλλα ή το κακάο), πρέπει να το σταματάτε αμέσως. Βέβαια μερικά από τα παραπάνω είναι απαραίτητα, όπως το να κόψετε τη ζάχαρη και το ξύδι και να διατηρήσετε μια υγιεινή διατροφή με τους κατάλληλους συνδυασμούς.

Finally after 10 years I was about to test myself to something new. I visited a nutritionist in April of 2006. You can contact him through his website here. I was in no good condition at all. He was specialized in otolaryngology for quite some years before he began to turn his interest into alternative medicines such as homeopathy, acupuncture, Nutrition etc. He has been outspeaking for many years that he could no longer help his patients with drugs or his lance. I will never forget his first question to me: "First of all do you believe that everything someone eats drinks or breaths is very important for his health?"

His method round nutrition is based on a way of finding out about food intolerance and food allergy which is called Vega Allergy Testing comined with kinesiology, energy testing. He also examines which organs inside your body are weak searching what is going on in a mollecular level. For example if you suffer from MS, insufficiency to your immune system will appear clearly according to his method or weaknesses to other parts or systems of your body acoording your symptoms or not. Besides you are subjected to live blood analysis. An examination which helps to exclude important conclusions (eg the candida fungus which flows in your blood, the tolerance of your blood cells etc). The first visit lasted 4 hours! I was informed about Multiple Sclerosis in a very different way. I learnt about the worst enemies of MS. I was given to search through some new information such as the Klenner’s Protocol for MS. My blood was full of candida and my cells seemed really weakened.

I told him what every doctor claimed until then: That the cause of my problem was unknown. He claimed that this wasn’ t right and that MS is a multifactorial syndrome cause by many parameters . In my situation wrong nutrition, Nutrition, wrong medicines, accumulation of Toxins, vaccination stress, Acidulus Enviroment etc. The antidotes to the pathologic findings were vitamins, several supplements, proper nutrition, drinking clean and Fresh Water, whatever composes a healthy life. In all cases a compound therapy is necessary for such a complicated syndrome. Before that I had tried homeopathy and eventhough I was relatively helped it was not enough. I was really amazed by the power of my doctor’ s arguments, even though I was reluctant at first and I was trying to challenge him in every word. I was examined thoroughly and the results showed a very tired organism. The first diet I had to follow was very strict. I left the consulting room full of thoughts. I had to stop the drug treatment I had followed for years. Otherwise, there would be no result. I was afraid and anxious to see what will follow. Finally, I decided to move on. A new way of life was ahead of me. Within a month diarrheas began and my doctor told me this was encouraging because this showed I reacted to the new treatment. Toxins finally begun to discard. The second month I felt my legs much more stable and I gained balance. My memory was much stronger and I felt full of energy. Tremulousness wasn’ t troubling me while I was walking and this made me feel confident. As time went by I felt even better. I drove my bike without being afraid and I didn’ t want to go to bed early anymore because I felt alive again. Sex activity became unexpectedly strong. Numbness in my legs was not so intense and faded day by day. Today I can much more easy bend my leg and walk much more normal. I have no sleep problems except the days I feel really anxious about something but this happens to anyone. I visit the toilet everyday(!) and this is unbelievable and crucial for me after all these years. The second time I visited my nutritionist (July 2006 – after three months) he was surprised as well. He did not expect all this improvement so fast. The same test I had the first time was much more promising. The improvement was obvious. I went the best vacation I have ever had with my girlfriend in the summer of 2006. I will never forget it. I felt so much stronger. This time I was ready to eat more foods. It happens very often. Your organism tolerates some substances again after a period of certain diet. I changed some vitamins and supplements according to new data. This time I would use intramuscular Vitamin B1 and Vitamin B12. After about 5 months period my main goal is not just to get better and better but, why not, to go symptom free! There are extremely few pathologic reactions nature cannot reverse. Besides, I believe to my self, to my doctor. I’ve never lost hope regardless of the seriousness of my situation. I believe this is the only way not just to deal with MS but to totally defeat it. And I promise you, I will but before that I will share with you every second of this experience because I need it and you need it. I hope you the best. After 6months I must admit that my present situation has nothing to do with my previous state (before 6 months). Alkaline Water

Water is the base of life. It is not accidental that trying to answer about signs of life in other planets components of water are the first to be examined. Water, though, coming out of fount most of the times is subjected to severel processes and doesn’t offer our organism only healthy elements. Because of its chlorinating, and heavy metals contained in the soil pipe (amianthus, lead etc) stresses us with elements concerning several disease. Also bottled water is not a life time solution.

My doctor claimed that it was very important to changes the water I was drinking. At first I was just trying for a good filter. Then my doctor advised me about alkaline water. The technolgy of this was initiated in Japan in 1950. Commercial use begun in 1958. After long testings doctors found that it is absolutely safe for man and helps in the symptoms of many diseases. Alkaline water has a medicine role. Imagine that a beverage of “cola type” has a PH=2,5(!!!) and hydrochloric acid a PH=0,1. It is vital the water wich ends into us to be alkaline (PH=8-10).

I have a machine combining both a filter and an ionizing process. In other words alkaline or acidic water comes out of the machine depending on what you will choose. Alkaline water is for drinking, cooking etc and acidic water for external use (like rain water).

It didn’t take long to see the unique effects. The first thing I noticed was an improvement to my urination problems. The first days it caused urinating very often. You see, I was having problems about initiating urination. After the first week it was the first time I caught my self especially at nights urinate normally. At first I thought I was imagining all this. But now I’m sure because I’ve experienced quiting alkaline water for certain periods and I saw a great difference.

Chelation and the Klenner Protocol

The truth is that it has not been precisely justified how the combination of the constituents of the protocol works for MS. Scientific research, profit-oriented, CRAB – centered and guided, is not able and above all it doesn’t aim at providing reasonable responses. Nevertheless, one can make several hypotheses about each suggested constituent by analyzing its properties and draw secure conclusions based on scientific research.

Fish Oil has known anti inflammation effects in blood and tissues. Also the lack of Vitamin D , as it becomes obvious through a series of studies, plays a more and more important role to the incidence of MS due to the role it plays in the development of the person from very young ages. Vitamins C, E play a very important role against the generation of free radicals. Oxidation always affects MS’ers much more than healthier people. Relevant examples, positive for human health, are found for every constituent of the protocol and especially for the Central Nervous or the myoskeletal System which are crucial for neurological disorders or the myoskeletal (see B 100 Tablet, B12 – methylcobalamine, Calcium – Magnesium etc).

Additionally to the above, there is a very important field the protocol contributes to, being decisive for MS patients due to their vulnerability in the Central Nervous System: heavy metals excretion. MS patients have a sensitive CNS with all its consequences. The progress of the disease usually causes problems in bowel function (constipation, diarrhea) that is a main detoxification means. This flaw makes them more vulnerable to a series of dangers in comparison to healthier people, such as heavy metals, a subject under discussion in this article.

DANGERS IN THE MARKET

The procedure of heavy metals excretion is generally called chelation.

There is a variety of products or kits in the market and several suggestions on this procedure but we‘ve better not to trust them if we are not perfectly sure. It is suggested that in any case you should consult a  knowledgeable physician about this subject; this is why we will not try to describe or suggest such products. The reason for our being so cautious is that this procedure may become dangerous, especially to constipated patients.

In order for the heavy metals to leave the body they first have to detach from the healthy tissues and organs they are stuck on, followingly they bind with substances helping their passing to the intestine and finally they are expelled. The excretion of heavy metals through the intestine is the main kind of detoxification from heavy metals. An important organ of detoxification is the skin through sweating. It becomes obvious that accumulation of toxins in the intestine after a successful chelation may cause more serious problems in case they are not fully excreted from the body.

Another reason is that the methods are numerous and there is not one single way for all patients. Many strong substances are used for this purpose and it is only under the supervision of a specialist that one should use them and NEVER TRY IT ALONE.

Finally, there is always the danger to overload the body if many different substances are taken besides the protocol without medical suggestion and supervision.

For the above cited reasons we will discuss only the substances suggested in the protocol and some other natural – vegetable very mild choices one can incorporate in everyday life and have very good results without danger.

FREE RADICALS AND HEAVY METALS

When free radicals come in touch with one of these tinny pieces of toxic metals, not only one new free radical is generated but a chain of millions of free radicals.

Free radicals exist in all persons, heavy metals as well. They move around several points and organs and somewhere on their way they meet again a new tinny piece of toxic metal generating new free radicals in a minute and so on.

Thus we should try to:

1. Find ways to reduce as much as possible the generation of new millions of free radicals generated in our body by the binding of metals and free radicals through chain reactions (Vitamin C, E and other antioxidants mentioned below help to that)
2. Prevent these free radicals from coming in touch with the heavy metals in our bodies in the first place.

CHELATION THROUGH THE PROTOCOL

One important contribution of the protocol is that it helps fight heavy metals, whose toxicity alone is known that it can cause symptoms similar to the ones of MS. On the other hand you know from this site that heavy metals is one of the main factors of MS.

Tips that help:

Try to consume proteins all the time, mainly animal (excpet pork which is very fatty) but vegetarian as well (eg sea algaue) according to the protocol. Protein amino-acids contain sulphur that highly facilitates the detoxification procedure. Avoid any proteinic supplement of unreliable origin.

Try to maintain 2 to 3 bowel movements per day. If there is a constipation problem read here. Remember that 90% of the mercury (a heavy metal known to be one of the most toxic ones) is expelled in our stools.

Don’t miss your daily injection of Thiamine (Β1)(1): Thiamine, being a main injectable vitamin in the protocol, has been found to play an important role in the confrontation of heavy metals (arsenic, lead, mercury etc). Especially mercury and lead compete with Thiamine absorbing the Sulphur contained in it. Sulphur is known to act as a magnet for heavy metals.
Riboflavine (vitamin Β2 contained in Β100): Also contains sulphur.

Vitamin Β6 (Pyridoxine – contained in Β100): Necessary to the metabolic procedure that transforms methionine into cysteine and followingly to glutathione (amino-acid transformed into strong anioxidative means).

Magnesium: Metals such as Magnesium are necessary to the optimal functioning of our immune system, as much as to hundreds of enzymic systems of prime importance for human health. In this way foods are more easily absorbed without irritating the digestive track that plays a crucial role to heavy metals excretion.

Take your axntioxidants every day: All antioxidants in the protocol (Vitamin C(2), E, Beta Carotene-Vitamin Α, Selenium(3)) including Thiamine, play an irreplaceable role to the fight against new free radicals being multiplied in the presence of heavy metals.

Drink alkaline water.

Exercise according to your condition, but do it systematically and under supervision. Sweating is a good way to excrete toxins and the skin is one of the main detoxification organs.

There are lots of other substances and ways to fight heavy metal accumulation or at least they claim to do so. As cited above, the protocol itself caters for that purpose. Nevertheless, if you think that you need more help, here are some more very mild ways:

You can take Chlorella. Chlorella is a species of algae that helps remove toxic metals from the connective tissue of our body. It contains high levels of chlorophyll which is one of the most pure and strong foods on earth. One cannot take excessive amount of Chlorella. Check your dose by trials, starting from a low dose and increasing gradually every 2-3 days.

Include garlic in your regiment if you are not allergic or intolerant to it, not in supplement form but in fresh natural form. In this way you enhance the Sulphur reserves of your body. 2-3 cloves per day for as long as your program lasts sound like a good idea. Crush the cloves so as to set their active ingredients free.

Start taking MSM (4). MSM is a kind of Sulphur acting on the membranes of the cells and thus helping your body to get rid of mercury.

Start using coriander (5). Coriander will contribute to the movement of mercury from the tissues, so as Chlorella will be able to bind with it and guide it out of the body through bowel movements. Coriander is found in most health food stores, super markets or shops selling spices. You can also add it to vegetable juices (being an excellent source of metals such as Calcium and Magnesium). Coriander alone is not enough to totally remove heavy metals from the body.

During your heavy metal detoxification, make sure that you take your daily vitamins and basic metals such as Calcium and Magnesium.
